Safety Guidelines to Reopen Lee Lund Studio

 

General Procedures

  • All classes will end 5 minutes early in order to facilitate transitions between classes and for faculty to sanitize the studios and disinfect their hands. All students and parents enrolled in “in studio” classes for the Fall session must sign a Studio Class Waiver. 

  

  • Waiting rooms are CLOSED to all non-dance participants until further notice. If a dancer has free time between classes, they must wear their mask and wait in the lobby in a socially distant manner. 

 

  • The Lobby will be opened for payments ONLY. 

 

  • The parking lot will partially be sectioned off for students to enter and exit. Please do not congregate before class start time. Students may only enter the building with a teacher. Please remain outside until a teacher comes outside to get you. When class is over, we will escort the kids out to a designated area to wait.

 

  • ALL barres, handrails, bathrooms and Studios will be disinfected and wiped down in between each class. Floors will be sanitized nightly.

 

  • There will be a designated bathroom for each studio. 

 

  • Dancers are encouraged to use the bathroom at home prior to coming to the studio.   

 

  • Bathrooms will not be allowed for changing and will only be allowed to be used in an emergency. Bathrooms will be disinfected hourly by our Lee Lund Studio Staff. 

 

  • A mask must be worn at all times while inside the building.  

 

  • Hand sanitizer must be used before entering the Studio. 

 

  • Students MUST bring their own water bottle. No food is allowed in the Studio. A small bag  can be brought in, and will be placed in a designated area for each child. Please limit unnecessary items. 

 

  • Families with health concerns contact your physician. 

 

  • No one who feels sick, has a fever or lives with a person who is sick should attend in-studio dance classes. Those who believe they have been exposed to Covid-19 should seek testing and self-quarantine for 14 days. Dancers with any medical conditions that might make them particularly at risk if infected with Covid-19 are asked to provide the studio with written approval from a physician.

 

  • Students staying for multiple classes will wash hands in between classes. 

 

  • While in the Studio each child will have a designated square to dance in. We cannot allow students to go outside of their square. Any child who repeatedly moves out of the space may not be allowed back in for studio classes. This is for everyone’s safety. 

 

  • Our Studio falls into the category with gyms. Even in the event of schools being virtual next year we still plan to move forward with “in studio” programs. If we find ourselves in another full shutdown, class will seamlessly transition to a virtual platform.

Drop Off  

 

For class in the upstairs Studio: 

​​

  • Please wear a mask when inside the Studio. 

​

  • Wait for your teacher to escort you into the Studio.

​

  • Enter through the stairway to left of the parking lot. 

​

  • There will be designated squares marked on the floor for you to remain in during class time. Wait for your teacher to assign you to an area. There will also be a designated spot in the room for you to leave your small bag, if you choose to bring with you. 

 

For class in the downstairs Studio: 

​

  • Please wear a mask when inside Studio. 

​

  • Wait for your teacher to escort you into the Studio. 

 

  • Enter through the doorway into the downstairs Studio (next to front door). 

 

  • There will be designated squares marked on the floor for you to remain in during class time. Wait for your teacher to assign you to an area. There will also be a designated spot in the room for you to leave your small bag, if you choose to bring with you. 

 

Pick Up

 

  • When exiting from the Upstairs Studio: You will exit through the stairwell inside the Studio and out through the Lobby (while wearing a mask)

 

  • When exiting from the Downstairs Studio: You will exit through the doorway inside the Studio and out through the Lobby (while wearing a mask).  

 

  • There will be a designated area for you to wait for your parent to pick up.  

 

  • We request that all students under the age of 10 have a parent/guardian come to the door to pick up their child. Please be on time for the end of your child’s class, as each class will end 5 minutes earlier than scheduled in order to manage the transition of students. 

 

Student Procedures 

​

  • Dancers must arrive wearing their dance clothes and with hair done. 

 

  • Dance shoes should not be worn outside the studio. 

 

  • Dance styles that use sneakers or other street shoes require studio-only shoes. 

 

  • Students will be assigned a designated 6x6 foot square within each classroom to ensure social distancing.
